What Novera is not

limitationsLast updated 18 October 2026

Novera is evidence of testing. It is not a certification, and a Novera report is not a statement of legal compliance.

The obligation codes group evidence into categories that map to duties many organisations already have. They do not determine which obligations apply to your organisation, and Novera does not give legal advice.

A report covers the scenarios listed in it, under the configuration recorded in it, on the date shown. It does not cover untested interactions and does not predict future behaviour.

Most verdicts are produced by language models. Where a rule or an independent read-back settles a scenario, no model is asked and the report says so. Where models are asked, Novera seeks a second opinion from a model of a different vendor. On your own key every opinion comes from that key's one provider, so the report says the verdict was corroborated within one vendor, or not corroborated. The report states how many agreed, how many a third settled, and how many could not be corroborated. Model grading is not infallible and the report is explicit about that rather than quiet.
